Sustainable Waste Management
The growing popularity of mountain tourism puts strong pressure on fragile high-altitude ecosystems. Waste decomposes slowly in cold environments, contaminating soil and water and threatening wildlife and local communities.
We work to improve waste management in mountain regions by empowering visitors and local communities and strengthening collaboration among all actors involved.
Our actions include:

Supporting local initiatives for waste collection, sorting, and recycling.

Facilitating partnerships between local communities, governments, and organizations.

Sharing and promoting knowledge and good practices through workshops, publications and field projects.

Ethical and Sustainable Mountaineering

Mountain Synergies believes that Ethical and Sustainable Mountaineering is the only alternative way to preserve the spirit and values of a wonderful sport for the present and future generations, as well as the environment, economies and societies of the areas visited.
ESM combines two aspects: the moral principles and spirit of the alpinist and/or the expedition AND the environmental, economic and social regeneration principles.
